It’s been a long road.

November 17th, 2011

Yeah, so I’ve been neglecting the shit out of this section of my site, mostly cause out of the ten people who regularily read my blog, nine and a half of them never read this section.

And I am eight of those people.

Still though, the night before last I watched The Lost again and I have to ask, why isn’t this movie more widely known? It’s singularily intense, has an amazing cast of relative unknowns including the truly PHENOMONAL Mark Senter and the recent success of Drive shows that people love films about young psychopaths shaping the world with their propensity for violence.

Watch it please, we need more of these. Movies, not young psychos.

Lots and Lots of not much.

I can’t remember what days I watched these over, but it was an interesting run.

Muriel’s Wedding – I had forgotten this. She was far from terrible.

North – This was an old kid’s film with Elijah wood that had an insane cast.

God Grew Tired of Us – This was a really intense story told in a pretty mediocre way.

Ear Infection Day.

Watching all of these with an Earplug was amusing.

The Thing – I’d never actually seen this, it was worth the wait.

Strait Jacket – An interesting Anime, but like most of them had ridiculous characters.

Mr Baseball – I’ll watch anything with Tom Selleck, he was almost Indiana Jones.

The Sorcerer’s Apprentice – I enjoy watching the sheer variety and amazing range of Nicolas Cage’s wig maker. He’s a real artist.

Easy A

Netflix has been throwing this in my face for ever, so I decided to give it a go.

It was funny, well written, witty, clever, had lots of attractive girls and a compelling storyline.

Well Played Netflix, well played.

Wet Hot American Summer

Yeah, this was weird, it was a film full of the actors I love in a film I thought was bullshit.

No Escape

May 29th, 2011

Ray Liotta’s slighty homoerotic relationship with Johnny Drama off Entourage was always a bit awkward. Plus Merrick’s nose piercings looked like they would be a bit annoying to be in your line of vision all the time.

Otherwise, good squishy.

Tree Of Life

May 28th, 2011

Saw it with Scott and Ari from work.

And it reminded me that I’m going to die, so it reminded me that I’m still alive.

The Wind That Shakes the Barley

May 26th, 2011

Saw it in the MOMA during their focus on Irish cinema season.

WATCH: What am I Watching?

May 24th, 2011

Recently I have been consuming a serious amount of movies for the last God k and I was thinking, why don’t I track my movie consumption for a year or so and maybe it’ll give me some sort of kick in the ass to watch more interesting films?

Well, maybe I wasn’t thinking that, maybe No Comments »
